KITCHEN LUST

Happy New Year! I am going to try and give more love to this blog and post a bit more this year. First up I am going to show you a kitchen I am in love with from Hecker Guthrie. We are thinking we may embark on a kitchen reno (fingers crossed) this year and so I am pinning images like mad for some inspiration (you can follow me here)

HOUSE LOVE

Check out this lovely, timber filled home, that I am completely in love with. Do you think they would mind if I picked it up and plonked it over in here in Australia? I think it would sit perfectly among the gum trees!

HILL DWELLER

This is the very stunning and stylish home of a friend and fellow interior designer, that has been featured on Australian House & Garden. Located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, the house takes its inspiration from Mid-Century classic architecture. The open plan house looks out onto a gorgeous garden and is the perfect family home. Sheer gorgeousness alert..

BLOSSOM LOVE

It's been a long winter here and we still have another month to go. But I feel there is hope, on our walk yesterday afternoon we came across some blossom, makes you feel that spring is not too far away! Doesn't it look gorgeous in a vase?

I have a stunning home to show you later this afternoon, one I have had the pleasure of being able to spend some time in!

COLOUR BURST

It is a very grey and dreary day today, so I was rather happy to this gorgeous home over at Maurice & King filled with gorgeous pops of colour. The home is of course in Sweden, as if you couldn't tell! Man they are a stylish country! I love all the furniture selections and that car wallpaper is just divine!

umm excuse me, is that an Established & Sons 'Wrong Woods' cupboard?

PINNED!

Happy Friday! I have jumped on the pinterest bandwagon! I think it is such a wonderful idea, it certainly saves memory space on my computer and is a great way to make sure the images you find are always credited to the original source. I have only just started so I have only pinned a minimal amount of images but I can see it becoming a growing monster! I thought I would share these gorgeous images that I have added to my 'home' board.

UMM - GEE SWISS???

Hello everyone, sorry my posting is a bit sporadic at the moment, I have started working again so balancing that and my little man means my blog gets pushed aside. I had some time this morning while he was having his nap and found this stunning house in Switzerland by Felber Szélpal Architekten. I am a bit obsessed with gorgeous houses at the moment!

I hope you all enjoy your day, I will be! I am off to our local botanic gardens with my boy as it is a sublime autumn day - sun is shining and plenty of blue sky! Enjoy..

MY FAVOURITE HOME

This is one of my favourite homes of all time. It is how I picture my future house to be like (designed by my very talented husband of course!) I love the setting, the cantilever, its simplicity both interior and exterior. This is 'Casa no Geres' in Portugal designed by Corriea/Ragazzi Arquitectos.

AMAZING HOUSE MONDAY!

Check out this amazing home located in Denmark! Love the gorgeous furniture from the likes of Arne Jacobsen and Eames and how they add a splash of colour to the very monochromatic scheme.

So did you pick that it is actually a boat? See the image below! It was once a ferry that sailed between Jutland and Fyn in Denmark. The boat in now mored in Copenhagen with spectacular views of the harbour. Architect Nils Jeppe Hansen designed the boathouse and and allowed the orginial materials such as the raw riveted steel to mesh beautifully with the new elements.

MID CENTURY INSPIRATION 2

Another gorgeous mid-century home for your viewing pleasure. This lovely Connecticut home was painstakingly restored with amazing results. The owners uncovered the stunning redwood timber clad facade that had been covered in layers upon layers of grey paint. The International Style home was designed in 1955 by Architect Willis N. Mills. The setting is not too bad either!
