Happy New Year! I am going to try and give more love to this blog and post a bit more this year. First up I am going to show you a kitchen I am in love with from Hecker Guthrie. We are thinking we may embark on a kitchen reno (fingers crossed) this year and so I am pinning images like mad for some inspiration (you can follow me here)

KITCHEN ON MY MIND

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you will be enjoying your long break from work and family traditions! I will be enjoying spending time with my two favourite boys as well as doing some work to our kitchen. We painted the walls white last weekend which has made a HUGE improvement from the dirty beige walls that were there before! We are going to install two long 'Lack' shelves from Ikea and one of the 'Grundtal' rails to hang our utensils on. I am also hoping to get started on painting the cupboards which will also be white too. So I had better sign off and 'hop' to it! Did you like that Easter pun eh?!

KITCHEN SHELVING

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am revamping our very tired kitchen. Due to budget constraints it will not be a brand new kitchen as I dream of, but will consist of repainting walls, respraying the cabinets, new benchtops etc. Hubby already started the process last weekend by removing the very ugly and impractical overhead cupboards we had on one wall. The plan is to install some open shelves instead. Here are some images of kitchens with open shelving and funny enough one that looks pretty similar to what we are planning to do - a black wall with white shelves.. Enjoy!

KITCHEN ASPIRATION

I am desperate to renovate our kitchen, but just having had the little man and living on one wage means we will have to wait for a bit. I will just have to be content with repainting walls, respraying cabinets, new handles and shelves. All this will make a huge difference to our very tired and dated kitchen. I am itching to get started on it! But for now I thought I would show you some sigh worthy kitchens I have been gazing longingly at...
