KITCHEN LUST

Happy New Year! I am going to try and give more love to this blog and post a bit more this year. First up I am going to show you a kitchen I am in love with from Hecker Guthrie. We are thinking we may embark on a kitchen reno (fingers crossed) this year and so I am pinning images like mad for some inspiration (you can follow me here)

APARTMENT LOVE

I couldn't help but posting this gorgeous apartment. It really is a beautiful blend of white and grey hues offset by the warm timber elements. Also that light and the artwork on the credenza is to die for! Gosh the swedes never fail to impress me, it also makes me yearn even more to visit. Next year people!

NEON LOVE

Neon colours are a hot trend right now. It's not something I see lasting but it is pretty fun. I think small hits of fluoro make a big impact in a space. Just like the ones below. Will you be adding a bit of neon colour to your interior?

AMAZING GRACE!

I finally had a chance to visit The Grace Establishment on Wednesday night with a lovely girlfriend. I have been wanting to check it out for ages, as well known Melburnian firm Hecker Guthrie designed the interior. I am a fan of most of their work, although I do tend to find some of it a little to overly decorated and gimmicky, but The Grace Establishment did not disappoint. It is a beautiful crafted interior; its quirky, stylish and fun. I absolutely adore the mint coloured Thonet chairs and the light fittings. I also spotted one of two of Dane Lovett's artworks on the walls, one day one of his pieces will too adorn my walls! Definitely worth checking out!

SNOW TIME!

We are off to the snow on Thursday and I can't wait! Although a trip to the snow involves a 13 hour car trip as living in the driest state of Australia means that we don't have any ski fields! So the closet is the stunning Falls Creek over in Victoria. Whilst I love where we are staying (picture the most idyllic alpine setting down the bottom of the mountain), this gorgeous apartment complex 'Fjall' in the ski fields would be just divine! Designed by Salter Architects and with the interior design by the highly coveted Melbourne firm Hecker Guthrie (formally HP&G), it has a very distinct Scandinavian feel.

Happy Friday! I have jumped on the pinterest bandwagon! I think it is such a wonderful idea, it certainly saves memory space on my computer and is a great way to make sure the images you find are always credited to the original source. AMAZING OFFICE

This has to be the most gorgeous interior space I have ever seen! The finishes are so beautifully refined; the reflective aluminium aluminium wall is divine and the colour of the stools in the image below are the most perfect blend of pink. This is the truly amazing office of No Picnic in Stockholm designed by the very talented design duo Elding Oscarson. Extreme love!

CAPITAL KITCHEN

Love, love, love this post today! I am completely enamoured with this one. It is the very stunning Capital Kitchen located in Chadstone, Melbourne. I think it is the graphics that does it for me and those gorgeous 'Caravaggio' pendant lights. What can I say but a trip over to Melbourne is definitely in store! Capital Kitchen is a retail homewares and food concept store by the the visionary catering company The Big Group and was designed by Mim Design (checkout their website, very talented!).
